Buying an RV can be a stressful experience especially when you’re considering a pre-owned option. Every used RV is unique and there are so many factors that you’ll want to consider during your used camper search. Regardless of your experience purchasing pre-owned RVs, Holland RV Center is here to help you on your search. Below, we've provided some tips to help you with your next purchase.
Do Your Homework
Before you begin looking at options, it would be wise to make a list of what you're looking for. Setting a budget, choosing an RV type, and picking must-have amenities are just a few things that are good to keep in mind. Having an open mind is always important too, but it could make your search much longer.
Ask Questions
Once you're ready to visit a dealership and check out some units in person, don't be afraid to ask a lot of questions. Remember, you're the one making the large financial commitment so it's okay to be cautious. Some things you may want to ask about are previous ownership, maintenance history, and manufacturer warranties.
Inspection
After you start narrowing down your choices, performing a self-inspection is one of the most important steps to complete. Check every corner of the unit, make sure everything is functioning properly, and all information provided by the dealership is correct. If you're looking at a slightly older model, it never hurts to bring in a professional for a secondary inspection in case they see something you may have missed. And if you're in the market for a used motorhome, then definitely schedule a test drive.
